RE: Sing – My chemical romance

    Hi Dabid,

I believe that the lines that you quoted in the sing meanings site refer to the corporatist world that has been created to deaden and silence the population, especially the youth. To me the song is a challenge to todays youth to stand up, be heard and change the world to “be what tomorrow needs”.
“Living on the webways” may refer to the way that this can happen. The free speech and exchange of the web is the great hope of the future in terms of breaking down the corporatist/mainstream media brainwashing that has made the population so placid and accepting of any messages given.
Next time you see a cat being rescued (or something similar) on the news ask yourself, “What is the real message here?”
Seems to me that real critical thinking has been subverted and this song encourages people to challenge what is happening.
I’m nearly 50 and this is an absolutely awesome song !!
